For centuries Jesus’ Church has celebrated his ascension into heaven to the right hand of God on the 40th day after Easter. This day reminds us that the same God who died for us is reigning on his throne in heaven. Many days we don’t see his gracious hand of power guiding the events of this world and watching over our lives, but he is. For his protection, his comfort, his blessing, we praise him today!
